EngIne: Engagement in the era of remote social Interactions: Manifestations, variation, and consequences
Description of the granted funding
This project investigates interactional engagement, its underpinnings and forms, and the social consequences engagement has on social collaboration. The project consists of three work packages (WPs): (a) In WP1, our objective is to determine the behavioral and physiological manifestations of engagement, (b) in WP2, we map out the variability in the behavioral and physiological manifestations of engagement (e.g., the role of personality and communication medium, i.e., face-to-face vs. video-call), and (c) in WP3, our objective is to examine the behavioral and social consequences of engagement and disengagement on collaboration. The research will increase our understanding of the underlying processes and consequences of engagement.
