The Finnish Foundation for Share Promotion promotes the securities market and its development in Finland. It supports Finnish research in economics with grants. The grants are usually awarded for post-graduate research and studies relating to the stock market. The scholarships granted by the Finnish Foundation for Share Promotion are mainly awarded for postgraduate studies, research related to stock markets and for continuous education. The scholarships are not granted for work already done. The grants are applied for personally. In addition, the head of a research group may apply a scholarship for the group. For the Finnish Foundation for Share Promotion the areas of special interest are ownership, questions regarding promoting financial literacy, investors’ behavior, taxation regarding ownership and capital markets and international comparisons on these matters. The Finnish Foundation for Share Promotion is especially keen to support applied research projects.

Apurahahakemuksen jättäminen edellyttää tunnistautumista pankkitunnuksilla tai mobiilivarmenteella. Apurahan hakija luovuttaa säätiölle itseään koskevia tietoja, joista muodostuu säätiölle henkilötietolaissa (523/1999) tarkoitettu rekisteri. Rekisteriin tallennetaan apurahahakemuksissa annetut tiedot sekä myönnettyjen apurahojen maksatukseen liittyvät tiedot. Hakemus ja liitteet voivat olla suomeksi.
